CA 19.9 measures the amount of CA 19.9 antigen in the blood which are found to increase significantly in case of Pancreatic Cancer.

CA 19.9 can be done on advise of the doctor. If during the examination in OPD doctor sees following symptoms then he can advise CA 19.9 to rule out pancreatic cancer:

This is to be noted that the doctor will not be able to confirm pancreatic cancer with CA 19.9 alone. Investigations like MRCP or CECT abdomen may be needed to support the blood test.
How is CA 19.9 Test Done ?
